Pembrey is also convenient for exploring the nearby tourist areas of the Gower Peninsular, Brecon Beacons National Park with its wild upland environment and further west the stunning coastline of the Pembrokeshire National Park.
The name Adeline comes from Adeline Coquelin (niece of Josephine, Empress of France) who was travelling with her father Lieutenant Colonel Coquelin aboard the La Jeune Emma. They were shipwrecked on Cefn Sidan in 1828 and are buried in the local churchyard next to the guest house.
